Since its celebrated 2014 debut, Gstaad Festival Brass has secured a place in the exclusive circles of the world’s leading ensembles.
Composed of soloists from the Gstaad Festival Orchestra, the Gstaad Festival Brass members have performed with the world’s top orchestras, including the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra Basel, Philharmonia Zurich, and the Berner Symphonie Orchestra.
The Gstaad Festival Brass philosophy is to continue the incomparable musical and artistic spirit of the Menuhin Festival and the Gstaad Festival Orchestra within the brass ensemble tradition. This provides an exclusive public the opportunity to experience this artistry year-round.
Gstaad Festival Brass is characterized by a flexible approach to program design and is well-regarded for its tailor-made programs and concepts. Programs range from traditional brass quintet formats to larger scale brass ensembles to even more creative forms such as „Le Brass Culinaire“, where music serves as accompaniment and mainstage feature within the context of a gourmet evening. In addition to more traditional performance contexts, Gstaad Festival Brass is a superb accompaniment within events of all kinds (vernissages, weddings, birthdays, company events and Christmas parties).
Gstaad Festival Brass offers maximum flexibility within its ensemble instrumentation. Gstaad Festival Brass can also create special ensembles based on the specific needs of the organizer.
